3 Big Lessons I've Learned in 2022 & How They Can Help You

2022 has been such a big year for me! I started A Healthy Push podcast. I began coaching. I taught two rounds of my Panic to Peace program and supported 43 amazing students. I supported 100 students in my Overcoming Driving Anxiety course and added live Q&A’s to this program for additional support. I left my corporate job after working in healthcare for over 15 years! And I launched an amazing masterclass.

This year has been full of some really hard and challenging moments, but also many really rewarding and fulfilling moments. I want to share the lessons that I’ve learned with you because I know that these things will also give you some helpful insights, and takeaways, and help to make your recovery less hard.

Pushing Yourself Is Scary, And Is Always Going To Be Scary!

And it's okay that pushing yourself is scary! Because fear is often a sign that you're doing something really brave. And the best way to solve the fear is by putting it into action. Starting the podcast, leaving my corporate job, and becoming a coach were some of the scariest changes I've ever made! But taking that leap has brought me so many great opportunities, and a community that I truly love!

So let this be your reminder that it's okay if you don't feel ready. It's okay if you're scared. And it's certainly okay to make a change. I want to share an amazing trick for navigating fear and anxiety that I've learned over the years... and that's to take the fear along for the ride!

Being YOU Is Truly The Only Way

...And BE you, without anxiety defining you! Because after all, anxiety isn't a part of you. It's just something you're experiencing right now. You are unique, beautiful, and courageous. Being you is your greatest asset because there's no one like you!

For so long, I tried so hard to be perfect. I'd spend hours scripting podcast episodes and finding the perfect words to say, only to be left feeling like I wasn't truly being me. I was trying to do it all, and I wasn't allowing myself to just be me! And that's because showing up as your authentic self can be really, really scary! It's natural to have these fears, but what matters is how you show up for yourself. Because allowing yourself to just be you will lead you to so much peace and freedom.

Honor And Celebrate The Work You're Doing

I'm sure you can relate... but I tend to not celebrate myself enough! I think that so often, we forget how far we've come and all of the amazing things we've accomplished. It can be so easy to only see the hard stuff that we're struggling with or the things that we haven't accomplished yet. But I want to encourage you to celebrate how far you've come. Not only because you deserve it, but because it's essential to your healing and growth. Celebrating yourself helps you to realize how strong and capable you are, and just how far you've come. I'm proud of you, and you should be proud of you, too!
