Anxiety Success Stories: Rachel Goes From Being Afraid of Her Own Mind & Body to Experiencing Lots More Peace

Rachel took my Panic to Peace program back in January of 2024. She struggled for over a decade with feeling unsafe in her own body, being afraid of her thoughts and feelings, and derealization. And when she joined the program, she had just experienced the darkest time in her recovery journey.

Before Panic to Peace, Rachel felt unsafe in her own body. Simple tasks like driving to work or going to the grocery store became overwhelming. She wasn’t afraid of the places themselves—she was afraid of her own anxiety. Rachel had tried everything—therapy, lifestyle changes, various coping mechanisms—but nothing seemed to provide lasting relief.

One of the most impactful things Rachel learned was that it’s okay to feel anxiety. No one had ever told her that before, and she had spent years trying to get rid of it. This shift in mindset allowed Rachel to stop fighting her anxiety and start living alongside it. By accepting her feelings instead of rejecting them, she found that the intensity of her anxiety began to lessen.

It was amazing to hear the progress Rachel is making every day. She can drive an hour and a half to visit my family, something that used to fill her with dread, and even went on a week-long beach vacation—something she never thought she'd be able to do again. While Rachel is not where she wants to be yet, she's so much further along than she ever thought possible. I am so proud of her!
