Life has been full of big transitions lately, and I finally feel ready to share what's been going on behind the scenes. From finalizing my divorce to moving, healing, changing my last name, and starting a new relationship... there’s been a lot of change, growth, and self-discovery. I hope by sharing this personal update, it helps you feel less alone in whatever chapter you're navigating.
Closing a Chapter: Divorce and Letting Go
In May, my divorce was finalized. It marked the end of a huge chapter, and while that came with mixed emotions, it also brought a sense of relief and permission to move forward. Even though the hardest parts are behind me, there are still waves of emotion. I’ve been holding space for myself with a whole lot of self-compassion.
Along with the divorce, I sold the house that held so many memories, especially the memory of bringing my daughter Amelia home. It wasn’t easy to leave, but it felt incredibly freeing. Moving into an apartment has been a surprisingly positive transition. It’s a smaller space, more communal, and it already feels like the right step for Amelia and me.

A New Name, A Fresh Start
One of the big decisions I made was to change my last name. Instead of going back to my maiden name, I chose to take my mom’s maiden name: Ireland. It’s been a powerful and symbolic shift, one that’s aligned with who I am now and where I’m heading. You’ll start to see “Shannon Ireland” as part of A Healthy Push, and I’m so excited for the rebrand that’s currently underway.
Supporting My Daughter Through Big Transitions
Amelia has been handling all of these changes with resilience and strength. We’ve had honest, open conversations about the move and what it all means. When she told me, “Our real memories are at the house,” I reminded her that memories live in our hearts, and that we carry them with us. Navigating this transition with her has shown me the power of connection, communication, and being present.
How I’m Taking Care of Myself
This season has required me to slow down. I’ve stepped back from being constantly busy and allowed myself to let the apartment be a little messy. I’ve focused on:
Therapy: Getting back into therapy has been a game-changer, especially as I’ve started dating again and working through old patterns.
Connection: I’ve leaned on close friends and family more than ever. Connection has helped me stay grounded and supported.
Self-compassion: I've reminded myself daily that it's okay to not have it all together. Slowing down and being gentle with myself has been crucial.
Hiring support: For the first time in my business, I hired two amazing contractors to support me behind the scenes. Asking for and receiving help has lightened my load in big ways.
A New Relationship and What It’s Taught Me
Yes, I'm in a new relationship! About nine months ago, I met someone on a dating app, and even though I wasn’t looking for anything serious, something clicked. He’s kind, supportive, and truly gets me. Of course, dating again after over a decade was nerve-wracking. The anxiety, the vulnerability, the unknown, it all came rushing in. But it’s also brought growth, healing, and a deeper connection with myself.
What’s been especially beautiful is realizing that I don’t need a relationship, I want this one. And that distinction has been empowering. We’ve taken things slowly, especially when it comes to introducing him to Amelia. She’s warming up to the idea, and we’re navigating it thoughtfully and intentionally with her wellbeing as the top priority.
Business Updates: New Community, Mini Course, and More
Despite all the personal change, I’ve still been showing up in my business. A few exciting updates:

Rebrand: A whole new look and feel for A Healthy Push is on the way, and it truly reflects who I am and who I support.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need to be fully healed to move forward. Life is always going to be a little messy, and that’s okay. Whether you're navigating divorce, parenting, dating again, or just trying to make sense of your next step, give yourself grace.
I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m so grateful for your continued support. If you’re going through something hard right now, I hope this serves as a gentle reminder that beautiful things can still happen even in the midst of uncertainty.
